Light fragrant gentle aroma of red plums and sweet melons. Rich and warmingly alcoholic taste of sweet brown sugar and a touch of almond paste. The malty crispness bellows through the light floral fruits and shows a rearing head of nipping alcohols. One lick from a good chocolate bar. A touch of euro hops round out for good balance. Well done. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA

Lingering finish on the tongue. Nice, first one of the day and probably the best. shp555 (1687), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Aroma is sweet cherries, caramel malt, chocolate, lesser molasses, brown sugar and anise. Flavor is more of the same without the anise component. Palate is generous, full and velvety for a bock beer. Finishes with a touch of creamy sweet malt and smoke. Pretty good, had hoped for a lot more. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA

Nose is roasted caramel. Flavor largely the same. Another good large Hooker beer. BMan1113VR (2886), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Pours with a thin collection of large, light brown bubbles atop a nearly black, dark brown body. Good lacing. Aroma of toffee, caramel, light soy sauce, toasted malts, light bread yeast, and nuts. Taste is strong with astringent caramel (like the sauce you put on flan), with nuts, followed by soy. Creamyish mouthfeel, light bubbles. Pwn3d (1076), Manhattan, New York, USA
