Commercial Description:
Brewed in the tradition of the Helles (Pale) lagers that are popular in the Bavaria region of Germany. This lager is deep golden in color with a pleasant, malty aroma balanced by a rich, smooth flavor. Troutbrook Brewing Company uses only authentic Moravian and German malts along with a Bavarian lager yeast strain to create this smooth and flavorful brew. Cool fermented and aged for six weeks, this beer is made to be delicate but yet still hearty. This beer is great anytime of year but particularly refreshing in the summer. Cheers!

I believe it was rater ClarkVV that sent me this Hooker! If I am incorrect please let me know!

Poured a beautiful golden body and a substantial cap of white froth… lovely! The aroma and flavor are a cross between bitter & sweet… Bread and Honey vs. Grassy, Mildly Citric Hops…. The perfect battle! Cereal with peach slices…. Crisp and dry in the finish…. A Terrific Beer! It is SO Nice to see this style done well!

Bottle: Orangish gold, slight haze, large white foamy head, soft carbonation, spotty lacing.   Sweet malty nose, very subtle hop, honey, and cereal.   Sweet malt on the tongue, sweeter and quite heavier than other examples.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   I must say, definitely heavier than other Helles.   Clean finish, quite sweet.   I really enjoyed this one.   Thanks John!

22 oz. bottle courtesy of my SecretSanta. Orange pour with a thin, fizzy light-tan head. Aroma is nicely balanced. A little grainy. A little grassy. Some buttered white bread. Smells like a quality lager. Smooth, buttery, bready sweetness with enough hops in the finish to keep it balanced. Hints of sourdough and corn. Solid beer. Boring style.

Bottle. Light yellow gold pour. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet malty flavors, and maybe some lighter fruits. Slight tartness too, probably from the Muinch malts. Light bitter finish. A drinkable to-style beer. Just not quite my style.

Poured a slightly hazed yellow gold color with a thin white head. Aroma of crisp apples and malt. Flavor was sweet, malty, and fruity with a light bitter finish.

Clear gold body with a good head. Soft, lightly sweet with very low bitterness. Easy-drinking.

Bright clear yellow gold in color. Aroma is nice and crisp, drawing out accents of honey, freshly baked croissants, a dash of coriander and flour sprinkled over baguettes. Crisp, sweet and lemon flavored. Some reminders of herbal butter over spread over crescent rolls, displaying a full and light breadyness. Reaches all areas of the palate in a most delicate manner. Gentle hop nature in agreement with a confident malt profile. Light, fluffy bakery finish. Well done. Thanks to tpkenned for the bottle!

Sun driven gold with a small loosened white cap that crumbles at a steamy pace. Slow rising bubbles within tend to keep a light skim always present. Light stringy lace. Soft aroma of sweet white bread grains and fresh doughy crusts. Slight grassy-like hopping. Nice taster! Lovely sweet bready malts with a buttered corn crispness and tender grassy induced spice and mild bitterness. Pale malt finish with drying breadyness and lighter transference of dull caramel. Gentle and firm well-rounded full-bodied, malt saturated feel. Tender carbonation; soft and chewyish. Solidly sweet with the white breads, but milded in tone enough for super extreme slopping down of this liquid. Nice addition of grass/spiced hops add an outstandingly fine balance. An excellent quaffer in which one bomber exceeds in its bounty and more then one is definately required and/or suitably easy to handle. Damn fine stuff!
