Pours a reddish-copper with minimal head. Mouthfeel is viscous, but not overwhelming. Strong cereal & hay nose. Very light carbonation with light body and short finish. Slight hint of allspice and baked apples. All in all, just ok.

Pours reddish brown with a small head. Aroma is mostly spice with some dark sweet malt. Mouth feel is medium body with a good amount of carbonation. Flavor is sweet with strong spice flavors. Nutmeg and vanilla are especially strong. Very interesting, but a bit sweet.

on tap @ Da Capo in Avon, goot holiday brew, still trying to figure out the distinctive taste, obviously malty sweetness, but theres something else, like raisins, plums, or black currant. I enjoyed it but I dont think i could have more than one at a time, the taste would get really stale after awhile.

On tap at the brewery. A nice amber color with a really interesting spiced malt that makes it very attractive. This is a nicely done winter lager. The malts and spices are really well balanced

I had this beer at the brewery. Very spicy aroma as well as taste, lighter-bodied than it looks. I probably would have enjoyed this beer more if I was holed up inside on a snowy day.

On tap at a local place in Hartford. Pours a reddish brown with a thin white head. Sweet malty holiday spice and candy aroma. Smooth malty taste with a sweetness and holiday spices. Not a bad holiday brew.
