| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 22, 2009 on tap @ Da Capo in Avon, goot holiday brew, still trying to figure out the distinctive taste, obviously malty sweetness, but theres something else, like raisins, plums, or black currant. I enjoyed it but I dont think i could have more than one at a time, the taste would get really stale after awhile. shadey (1498), Rochester, New York, USA

A nice amber color with a really interesting spiced malt that makes it very attractive. This is a nicely done winter lager. The malts and spices are really well balanced thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA

Very spicy aroma as well as taste, lighter-bodied than it looks. I probably would have enjoyed this beer more if I was holed up inside on a snowy day. Cletus (5055), Connecticut, USA
