Commercial Description:
Originally brewed to celebrate the beginning of the German brewing season and the 1810 wedding of crown prince Ludwig of Bavaria and his bride-to-be, princess Therese of Saxon-Hildburghausen. This amber beer was brewed in March ("Marzenbier") and left to age in cool lagering caves during the heat of the summer. Our rich and satisfying Bavarian-style OctoberFest comes from a special blend of imported German malts that creates a full-bodied brew and stresses a malty flavor and lingering aroma. Gently hopped and delicately balanced, its true-to-style, slow fermentation and long, cold maturation produces a luxuriously smooth, award-winning brew.

Thanks Chuck. The beer pours to a dark amber body with a thin creamy tan head. Very nice color. The aroma is grainy with corn and lager yeasts. Basic. The flavor is grainy and bitter. Basic Octoberfest here. The palate is medium bodied.

Clear brown body. Cooked tart apple and marshmallow in the aroma - nice! Tart toffee/apple malt flavor finishing with tart apple skin. I like the tartness in this fest beer.

Clear shiney copper body. Minimal bubbly off-white head. Sweet buttery grain aroma. Light flowers (?). Decently interesting aroma. Sweet rounded taste too... its an odd blend of flavors that I like. Caramel, apples, fruit, herbal tea.

light carmel color w/ a fairly small tan head some ok lacing and some really light visable carbonation. Light carmel aroma and some light toasted grains very typical okt aroma. Palate is avg... some nice carb. Flavor is light carmels some raw grains. Pretty basic but easy to drink.

Light malt and light spiced aroma. Dark brown body sports a rather thin palate. Caramel malt flavor--and not much else.

A decent Octoberfest. Nice orange-coppery color and malty-sweet flavor. Not much in the way of an aroma. I’d drink it again.

Orange-amber color with light head. Sweet, grainy malt aroma that is pleasant and inviting. Taste is sweet & well-balanced. Somewhat chewy grain taste, with just enough hop backing to make it work. Better than most Oktoberfests and highly sessionable!
