Nov 23, 2004 Bottled. Nut brown. Grapefruit aroma. Surprisigly dry. Richly malty with cookie malt character.Soapy, grapefruity hops dominates. Very bitter finish. Well made, and balanced barley wine.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, roasted, dark chocolate, port, vanilla, smoke / soy sauce ?, alcohol. Initial flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with long duration. Long dry finish with a good balance. Body is medium to full, texture is oily / syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic.
