(6/21/08) Draught at the brewpub in Leipzig. Cloudy yellow-golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with some grass and light graininess. Flavor starts a bit sweetish with faint sugar hints and a bit of light bread and finishes with pleasant hoppy bitterness. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. A nice Pils.

On tap at the brewery. Looks really good in the glass. Not too fruity or spicy, modest dry. Very drinkable. Dries out the mouth - not so good. Nevertheless a very fine beer.

Draught at da pub. Cloudy opaque rich golden pour, yellowish in the gleaming sun, with a frothy, lacing white head. Very bubbly, looks great. Medium-powerful aroma, malty and a bit dusty. Crisp, bitter first taste. A little oily, not too thin. Buttery, and ends on a herby/grassy note. Good but not setting the world aflame.

Magarine and butter aroma; bitterish taste with butter and grass aromas; bitterish finish with butter and wood aromas. Far too buttery - it completely overwhelms any other flavour.
