DerWeg (450), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 18, 2008 Usual Hefe presentation, and this one paints by the numbers. It has a hint of spice and some banana, ultimately can drink a few pints.
larsga (2447), Oslo, Norway Oct 22, 2008 Biggish offwhite shiny lasting head. Hazy opaque pale yellow body. Light mealy wheaty aroma with faint herbal bananaish notes. Dry-sweet (and somewhat acidic) vinegary bananaish chalky taste with herbal grassy notes. Full body. Decent except for light infection. (0.3l draft at the brewpub.) DSG (997), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 8, 2008 (6/21/08) Draught at the brewpub in Leipzig. Very pale yellow color (almost like a Belgian Wit or a Berliner Weisse) with a white head. Aroma is wheaty and fruity with some spices (clove is present). Sweetish flavor with some banana, light wheaty tartness and some light spiciness. Light to medium-bodied. A decent Weizen. kappldav123 (1170), Markkleeberg, Germany Dec 22, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Looks very good in the glass. Flavor very fruity but not too sweet. In the end also a little bit dry. Not an average but a very good hefeweizen. motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Oct 16, 2006 on tap at the brewpub. this place has gone downhill pretty quickly, they must have changed brewers in the last couple of years i guess. banana and mustard seed aroma. weird and sour and a real mess
