This had a definite whiff of quality about it. Golden colour with a thin white head.
Inticing aroma with bags of citrus and hop.
Just knew I was going to like this. Very well balanced aromatic hop in the flavour and just very drinkable. Wish I could get this on a regular basis. Svesse (1920), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 30, 2008 (Cask at The Rake, Southwark, London, 9 Aug 2008) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, mainly grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus (orange, grapefruit), apricots and a generous, citrussy bitterness in the finish. Very nice, very drinkable. albertane (344), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Aug 19, 2008 Cask at the Tollemache Inn, Grantham. Jaywick has a fresh, very fruity, delightful aroma and a golden body with a bubbly head. The flavours are citrus and tropical fruits with a biscuit malt backbone. Very good indeed. hughie (2459), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Aug 15, 2008 Cask at Green Man, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Pint. Everyone else watching Olympic cycling. Dark gold with a small white head. Citric hop aroma and some grassiness, with a buttery malt background. Sweet, oily malt taste. Mid to strong bitterness. Liked it. But, sorry, lads, I only rated it 3.6. haddonsman (1214), Derby, Derbyshire, England Jul 28, 2008 Cask, handpull, pubs all over Derby 2008. Also once traded under the name Belay Betty.
