Commercial Description:
This English IPA is named after the second ship that took the original IPA to India. Light copper with a nose of fruit and berries, a gentle maltiness in the mouth and a wonderful citrus, lemon-pith bitterness.

Cask in the Market Porter. Alround rating: Sweet caramel and lightly toffee malt, floral and herbal hop, yeasty esters. Not really what i was expecting, lacked bitterness and hop character.

Cask Handpump at the University Arms, Sheffield 17/07/2009 Some hop aroma. Copper coloured a little rich on the palate and fruity with some dryness in a crisp malt finish.

Cask at the Champs sports bar sheffield, amazing beer in an average establishment. I could drink this all day...and suffer for it but it’d be worth it! So much fruity malty goodness and then a wonderful bitterness to finish.

Cask at The Waters Green Tavern, Macclesfield. Dark amber with thin off white head, good lacing. On my local stag do, good work Thornbridge for giving me this to drink. Lovely floral hop aroma. Little bit dry bitter finish, lovely and hoppy. Lovely.

A Mes rate: cask at the University Arms.
Dark amber gold with a thin but stable white head. Big fruity hops, excellent bready malt, superb balance, tons of flavour. Nothing complex, nothing unusual, just a superb drop of English ale. The finish is outstanding. A real smack in the mouth from the hops then the malt comes in but it fades quickly to leave more hoppage. Brilliant.

[cask @ RBESG 2009] Sourish floral hops aroma with strawberry and cranberry notes. Fogy chestnut appearance with a lasting, white foam. Nice toffee flavour balanced by floral hops and potent bitterness. Light to medium body, low carbonation, low bitterness.

Cask @ University Arms, Sheffield.
Pours lightly hazy golden amber with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has toasted caramel, light grass and some good grapefruit. Light prickly carbonation. Strawberries, apricot, pine, caramel in the nice, elegant flavour. Good dryness in the finish. More?
