Commercial Description:
Cask & Cold Filtered Bottle; Regular.
Typical of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, this wonderful South Pacific Ale has a great grassy nose with kiwi fruits in abundance. The wonderful fruity mouth gives way to a great bitter finish. 5.2%

Hazy blond color. Delicate but persistent aroma, with elderflowers and passion fruit, a bit grassy too. Dry mouthfeel, dry toffee flavor, with vivid bitterness and hints of passion fruit. Long final, dry bitterness. Very pleasant.

Cask @ GBBF. Pale and bright and alluring. Hoppy nose is very floral and sweetish. Tastes quite bitter and resinous. Refreshing and nice aroma, but either needs to be a bit more lively or cut back on hop bitterness to be more drinkable.

Great nose with kiwifruit, lemonade and a bit of sherbet. Pours quite pale with a persistant white head. Flavour is dry, thirst-quenching, some ameliorating sweetness, more lemonade, and a long, citric, hoppy finish. Had I known, I would have bought a crate of this one - a blinder.

Bottle. At first kept thinking about a well known brand of cake but after a while started to appreciate how good this is. Bronze with a clear appearance and a lovely hoppy taste with flowers also present. Slightly bitter and at 5.2 per cent shows that you haven’t got to heavy a high presence of alcohol to produce a lovely beer.

Bottle from Realale.com. Clear golden, white head. Piney and herbal hop aroma. Harmonious, yet potent hop flavours; exotic fruits and some pine. Nelson Sauvin hops rule.

Tried at GBBF what a beer it’s a travesty that this wasn’t crowned as the best beer and only recieved a silver. I think my favourite thing about this beer, apart from the beautiful aroma, creamy mango sorbet and steamed vine leaves is the pithy grapefruit bitterness that really makes this beer.

Cask at GBBF 2009. A bright, deep golden yellow coloured beer with a good white head. A really strong citrus aroma, with a touch of floral hop. The taste is dry, with plenty of grapefruit flavour. The finish is dry with more hops and malt.
