Cask, Babington Arms, Derby. A superbly smooth drop, light malts and creamy hops, just a hint of flint amongst those fat wet fruits.

Cask at the Rake, with harrisoni and chriso, 17th Jan 09. Hazy amber with a honeyed aroma. Quite hoppy but definitely some off flavours, you could tell it was the last pint of the barrel.

Cask handpull at The Rake, Borough Market. Just about the last pint out of the barrel and it tastes it. Unattractive diacetyl aroam. Bit of toast. Dullish, blandish, muddyish in mouth and in appearance. Some citrus hop on finish. Sorry fellas, I really wanted to enjoy this, a new Thornbridge beer, but it just wasn’t quite right.
