Commercial Description:
The blackest of all beer. Brewed from Roasted Barley Malts, Black Patent and Chocolate Malts against generous amounts of Columbus hop. In the Mysterious San Luis Valley the Carbonate Spring waters of Del Norte charge this Ale like the first jump out of a copter.

GABF 2007. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, caramel, nuts). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not very roasty and thus seemed more like a porter. But certainly pleasant nontheless.
