| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 7, 2009 bottle. Pours ruby with a creamy, brown-tinted head. Aroma is bright pine and citrus. Flavor starts with toffee and red fruit, then transitions to cherry and grapefruit . . . so complex for a pale ale! Finishes malty and bitter, everything in balance. Overall, this is a very solid, flavorful brew, definitely the best pale ale I’ve tried. stefanje (955), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA

Pours a copper color with a big beige head that slowly dissipated. The aroma is biter hops, rye bread, citrus and pine. The taste is hops forward with a nice bitering that is never harsh. The main body is caramel and toffee. The mouthfeel is light, smooth and malty. The finish is short with some lingering caramel. Overall: A very good APA. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA
