| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, heavy hops of pine and grapefruit peel, moderate yeast of leather and earth, with butter, pepper and dried fruit in the background. Head is average sized, creamy, slightly off white, with good lacing, and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy copper. Flavor starts lightly acidic, and finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily, and has a carbonation between soft and lively. The smell was great. If the flavor were a little more pronounced and had a touch of sweetness, this would be close to perfect. djcoolhark (21), South Bend, Indiana, USA

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 3, 2008 An awesome IPA, thanks Mike for getting me hooked. The pour is a rich copper with a thin white head. The aroma is very hoppy with grapefruite hints. This beer goes down smooth with a sweet taste that finishes a little bitter. This is a very good, well balanced beer. Anyone, a beer connoisseur or a casual beer drinker, can enjoy. kegbear (269), Orange, California, USA

I had an Alesmith X last night which I thought was a excellent Pale Ale, but this one really blew me away. Nice amber color with almost no head. Citrus and other hop flavors strongly present. Well balanced with malt flavors as well. A perfect Palle Ale. PolakPorter (82), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Hops, hops and yet more hops. It pours a beautiful crimson brown that almost appears to be glowing. Aroma is typical Three Floyds...part hops, part fruit salad. The lingering flavor is simply mindblowing considering it is just a regular old IPA/APA. Quite possibly my all time favorite sessionable beer (yes it is sessionable, don’t be a p*ssy). Great Job! luckymortal (16), USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Great beer for a hop lover. The only problem is it’s perhaps a little monolithic. I get a very strong grapefruit aroma and flavor. Heck, this could almost be grapefruit juice. For style it’s more IPA than American Pale. Personally, I think Dreadnaught is more complex, more hop, but also a better balance. But yeah, this is a damn damn fine beer.
