The pour is a rich copper with a thin white head. The aroma is very hoppy with grapefruite hints. This beer goes down smooth with a sweet taste that finishes a little bitter. This is a very good, well balanced beer. Anyone, a beer connoisseur or a casual beer drinker, can enjoy. kegbear (273), Orange, California, USA

I had an Alesmith X last night which I thought was a excellent Pale Ale, but this one really blew me away. Nice amber color with almost no head. Citrus and other hop flavors strongly present. Well balanced with malt flavors as well. A perfect Palle Ale. PolakPorter (83), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Hops, hops and yet more hops. It pours a beautiful crimson brown that almost appears to be glowing. Aroma is typical Three Floyds...part hops, part fruit salad. The lingering flavor is simply mindblowing considering it is just a regular old IPA/APA. Quite possibly my all time favorite sessionable beer (yes it is sessionable, don’t be a p*ssy). Great Job! luckymortal (16), USA

I get a very strong grapefruit aroma and flavor. Heck, this could almost be grapefruit juice. For style it’s more IPA than American Pale. Personally, I think Dreadnaught is more complex, more hop, but also a better balance. But yeah, this is a damn damn fine beer. wmubronco1992 (188), Coldwater, Michigan, USA

Very woodsy flavor. Mouthfeel just ok. Good beer, that was very drinkable. I was a little disappointed because this beer is really hyped. Still, one of the better Pale Ales I’ve had. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Started off great – pours a nice medium brown with orange hue. Soft thin head which dissipates fairly quickly. Heavy citrus aroma (grapefruit?) along with strong hops. Taste is consistent with aroma – intial citrus/hops combo and strong bitter aftertaste. Nothing stands out from the palate – mouthfeel is not too thin but not exquisite either. Good pale ale but not my favorite. Delirium (502), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy copper with a moderate off-white head. Fairly standard west-coast-style IPA: lots of grapefruit and pine hops in both the aroma and flavor, with a fairly good malt backbone. Very well done, though. bretupdegraff (181), Fishers, Indiana, USA

I am not a big fan fo the pale ales but this adds a nice touch with the FFF Citrus twist. Very easy to drink. Got better for me as it got warmer.
