Cask @ Chelsea’s Brewing Co. in NYC this past weekend. Pours a dark, hazy orange body with small white head and lacing. Nice hop aroma, and delicious hop flavor. I wish I had taken beer notes for this one.

Chelsea Cask Festival: Had no idea I was in the presence of royalty when ordering this brew. Pours a slight hazy, deep amber. Nose is full of bitters, sugars, florals... exactly what you’d expect a king’s royal court to stink of. The texture was full and very oily, helping to stick the deep flavors to your tongue. Very well balanced, spicy, bitter, sweet, crisp and bright yet dark and complex. F*cking awesome on cask!

This yellow to orange pour looks and full mouth as it feels. Nose is all pine and grapefruit. A rich hoppy flavor with a hint of sweetness in the form of caramel. A satisfying beer.

Pitcher pour at 2009 GABF. Pours a thin head, with minimal lacing over a clear yellow gold (SRM 6) body.......nose is loads of pine and grapefruit.......taste initially is sweet malts then the hops arrive and pine and grapefruit bitterness balance out the malt and linger......mouth feel and carbonation are nicely balanced in to create a grand sensation. This is another in the myriad of excellent APA’s available to us, the fortunate tasters. Tasting of 9/26/09.

A super beer. Amber coloured and hazy. Head is off-white and mostly lasting. Aroma is very hoppy, harsh. Crisp notes too. Flavor is lightly sweet and harsh bitter, long. Dry, dry texture.
