Pretty delicious. I have had this numerous times. Lots of citrus that fades to caramel.

12 ounce bottle. Wow... where should I start on this one? Poured a beautiful dark orange color with almost no head. The aroma was an awesome mix of citrus, hops, and a little bit of pine. The taste was very refreshing and left the taste lingering in the back of your mouth... consisted of a lot of grapefruit-like citrus hints with a nice touch of hops in the background. Finished leaving me wanting more... I have heard the hype of this beer and am now definitely a believer! An awesome brew!

Have had this many times. More of a IPA than a APA. Aroma is hops, citrus and a little malt. Flavor is floral hops, grapefruit and sweet malt. Good beer and the Best APA. 3.9 Re-rate 7/21/08: Have been drinking this a lot lately and if you like hops you will love this beer as it is hoppier than 90% of the IPA’s out there. Huge graipfruit and floral hop flavors. A true classic that everybody should have the oppertunity to try. 4.2

great beer! pours dark orange with little head that leaves great lacng. wonderous hoppy, piney smell. the taste is first hoppy with malty backbone, dry finish that makes you crave more. great mouthfeel, but look out these will creep up on you fast with 6.0 apv. could be my favorite beer

This was pretty decent, I was expecting more out of Three Floyds with this one however. Cloudy and warm with a insightful bittering concept. Aroma was weak with a hazy head. Rivers of tingyness also come from within. Overall, it was a good brew, but the characteristics could of been further enhanced.

huge hop aroma, standard FFF notes: pine and grapefruit, all on the cusp of being outright resiny. appearance is a dark amber, not very ’pale’ for an APA. flavor is utterly balanced -- huge hops with a strong malt base. malt comes across strong with light toffee notes but without any grain of sweetness. a landmark of american craft brewing and one of the most well balanced brews around.

awesome beer! thanks to randy at archer liquors. smells a little sweet, tastes a little sweet at first then taken over by hops. wonderfully balanced. i feel like it could almost be an IPA

Bottle thanks to Mgumby (Mike). Pours hazy red hibiscus color with luscious white foam. Bright tropical fruit and hop nose. Smooth and perfectly balanced brew that I could incorporate into my regular diet.
