Big thanks to StFun for hooking me up! Good sized, quickly dissipating head. Beautiful ruddy gold, amber color. Strong, hoppy aroma (Big on the Cascades). Taste is wonderfully balanced -- hoppy but the malt smooths it out nicely. Really great aftertaste. Reminds me a lot of Bells’ Two Hearted. All in all a really awesome beer. The aroma is wonderfully hoppy with loads of spruce, fruit, citrus and caramel. The flavour has citrus, pomelo, oranges, spicy mango, papaya, caramel and a nice, slightly dry, bitterness in the finish. This is a really, really nice beer! Taste a nice bitterness. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Good pale ale. *****UPDATE****** Stfun just hooked me up with a "fresh" bottle. Big head on this one, followed by a good lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Redish-brown in color. Taste is really sweet up front, but a nice bitterness in the aftertaste. Good texture and easy to drink, I can see why people would like/love this but I guess APA are not my cup of tea. Thanks josh for sending this one again! laguerita (111), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 29, 2008 pours a beautiful deep blood orange with a thick frothy head that lasts. aroma is sweet grapefruit with a flavor that has hints of apple and a nose breath of alcohol. Palate felt slightly watered down which I wasn’t expecting. Over all, a little disappointed since i’d been assured it would be great by people I trust - I’m guessing this might have been a bad bottle - i’m in CA and it’s hard to find.
