Pitcher pour at 2009 GABF. Pours a thin head, with minimal lacing over a clear yellow gold (SRM 6) body.......nose is loads of pine and grapefruit.......taste initially is sweet malts then the hops arrive and pine and grapefruit bitterness balance out the malt and linger......mouth feel and carbonation are nicely balanced in to create a grand sensation. This is another in the myriad of excellent APA’s available to us, the fortunate tasters. Tasting of 9/26/09.

A super beer. Amber coloured and hazy. Head is off-white and mostly lasting. Aroma is very hoppy, harsh. Crisp notes too. Flavor is lightly sweet and harsh bitter, long. Dry, dry texture.

Bottle. Pours a very dark, cloudy, ruby amber. Very hoppy for a pale ale, but its not normal as the bottle says! Very tasty and easy to drink. Excellent beverage.

bottle courtesy of coyotehunter, thank you! pours a very complex orange/coppery burnt sienna ruby with a minimal khaki colored head that leaves some lacing. aroma is very nice and light, very floral with delicate notes of grapefruit blanded with sweeter notes of green pine, with a lil buttery yeast underneath. some very light caramel malt notes as well. taste is very nice, very light, crisp, pungent yet refreshing. nice hop profile, both sweet and bitter, but both very light and nicely balanced. body is nice medium fullness, with a light effervescent feeling to set off the somewhat viscous oils of it. i really wish i could easily get this in summer, it would be one of my go to’s for a hot summer day when in need of quenching.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a lasting light brown head that laced nicely. Aroma is full of hops giving both a pine forest note as well as citrus rinds. Flavor begins with citrus bang and finishes with a light piney note. Goes down amazingly smooth. My favorite APA.

Great, complex blend of hops - pine, citrus, and earthiness. This is the best pale ale I’ve ever had. So smooth, but flavorful and full-bodied. I could - and would - drink this all day if I could get my hands on it more often.

Bottle, 12 fl. oz. Pours a clear golden beer, The aroma and the flavor is nice and hoppy. This also leaves a bitter palate. Overall this beer is balanced and simple and testes fantastic.
