jehoey (734), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 18, 2008 aroma was very cleanly citrus hops. very fresh hop aroma that smelled like they were just pulled from my freezer at home. beer poured amber with 2 fingers of head, that remained as a film throughout the duration of drinking it. Flavor like the aroma is full of citrus hops, grapefruit most prominently. The only problem was that I found it to be a little to sharp and course for my taste, but wasn’t over the top. plate was medium bodied with the perfect amount of carbonation for a pale ale. very good pale ale

Poured orange red amber, with white head, and very clear - nice. The aroma is all HOPS. The flavor is dominated by hop bitterness with some malt backbone. The palate is normal - not thin or thick or particularly interesting. Overall this is a very fine beer, but I feel that it is a bit unbalanced toward the hops and could use more hop flavor rather than btiterness as well as some more balancing malts. hrking (65), Muncie, Indiana, USA Dec 29, 2008 This is on draft at 2 locations here in town. This is often a warm up beer and pours a red orange with a nice white head. Lots of hops and almost a sweet clover honey finish. This is a hop heads beer for sure so be prepared for a blast of hops. Once you get past the initial hop bite this beer does smooth out and become more drinkable but give it a few wash overs on the palate..Worthy of a try. nearbeer (1491), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Dec 28, 2008 12 oz, thanks for the trade Butters. Misty and dark copper. One-finger head endures and leaves some crunchy lace. Aroma of dirty orange, caramel and light cocoa. Taste is nice blend of orange, pecan shell, and caramel with a finish of dried wood and citrus peel. Near-medium body is tingly and finishes hop-dry of course. mspindler (28), Alta Loma, California, USA Dec 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Thanks to DuffmanSW for this one. Dark orange/copper color, slight cloudiness. Off-white head that dissipates quickly but lacing is decent. Aroma of big floral hops, but more of bready and nutty malt. Tastes citrusy, mostly hops, with some caramel malt flavors to balance it out. Light to medium bodied and crisp. Too bad its so hard to get around here, its good stuff. BeerBunker (252), Burbank, Illinois, USA Dec 21, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours an amber color with a white head. Lacing lasts throughout the entire beer. Heavy carbonation. Aroma is of hops, pine, citrus, and caramel malt. Taste is of bitter hops, pine, and grain with a caramel malt backbone. Light mouthfeel, and easily drinkable. Definitely a session brew.
