12oz single from Capone’s Bottle Shop, Norristown, PA...pours DEEP amber, off white head...piney resin aroma with orange, apricot and hops...all of this carries over into the flavor, citrusy...oily mouthfeel...how is this only an APA...this is a BIG APA...not big on alcohol, but big on favor, body, and character...awesome.

Dec 20, 2009 Solid pale ale. Pours a hazy amber with a decent off white head. Lots of citrusy hops on the nose. Nice hops presence in the beer, not overly bitter but definte bite to it. Finishes crisp with the citrusy hops flavor lingering. Pretty good brew.

Dec 20, 2009 Pours a very cloudy amber color with a medium off-white head which leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Aroma is resinous hops, earth, tangerine, grapfruit, and light caramel malts. Taste is very earthy, plenty of citrus, and balanced out with the caramel malts. I expected it to be much more bitter or thick but the mouthfeel and bitterness is near perfect.

Dec 19, 2009 Just a great beer in a style I enjoy. Nicely hopped, not overwhelming. Touch of leather on the taste, but very smooth. Love the pale ales and this is a near-perfect example.

Dec 13, 2009 Bottle. Nice amber/copper color with a huge fluffy light tan head. Good lacing, too. Great aroma - sweet caramel, spicy citrusy hops. Flavor is the same - the citrusy, lightly grassy hops are balanced exquisitely to smooth caramelly malt. I can definitely see why this is the top rated APA - it’s an extremely well-constructed beer.

Dec 11, 2009 pours golden red brown with mild off-white head. nose is sweet with grapefruit and brown sugar with a hint of raisens. taste is sweet, like gumballs soaked in grapefruit juice. makes me happy to drink this and wish three floyds was sold in ice cold MN.

Dec 10, 2009 A: A lovely rusty amber color with a nice 2 finger head that disappers to nearly nothing. Left lacing all the way down the glass; Beautiful.
S: Hops are yelling at me from the bottom of this glass. Grass, Pine, and citrus come wafting from this pint.
T: This brew is dominated by hops and pine. It has a slight citrus finish that makes it very refreshing.
M: This baby is pretty hoppy for a regular IPA. The mouthfeel is medium but the finish is oh so refreshing.
