Jan 4, 2009 22 ounce bottle shared by cdumler. Pours a very dark and very opaque brown color. Medium head with average head retention and lacing. Aroma is chocolate, toffee, coffee and spicy, herbal hops. Minty hops, roasted malts, caramel and chocolate in the taste. Full bodied and extraordinarily well balanced.

Jan 4, 2009 22oz bomber pours a dark brown with a one finger tan head, good retention, not much lacing. A lot going in the aroma here, first up is the hoppy aromas lots of pine and citrus, so much citrus I wasnt sure I was drinking a porter. Other aromas included, coffee, roasted malts, and chocolate. Flavors are chocolate and roasted malts with an absurd amount of hops in the finish, also some lingering coffee notes. I have never had such a hopped up porter, with that being said I absolutely loved this beer!

Jan 2, 2009 Poured a nice dark brownish color. More hoppy than expected, but very good none the less. Some hints of chocolate and I believe coffee. Overall, a solid seasonal from Three Floyds.

Pours brown with beige head and nice yellow lacing.
Aroma has plenty of pine hops and light roasted malts with coffee. I really got the feeling of dipping my nose in a pine forest.
Taste is roasted malts with coffee and chocolate, light floral hops. After taste was a lot closer to a stout than a porter.
Highly drinkable.

Dec 31, 2008 65cl bottle from Parti-Pak Liquors (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a dark brown to black color with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of floral hops, nuts, dark chocolate, pine and coffee. Flavor is much of the same with a floral hop presence along with stronger caramel and toffee notes. Some dark ripe fruit and citrus as well. Generally medium to full-bodied with a pleasing coffee-chocolate finish.

Dec 31, 2008 Thanks kiefdog for the share. Pours a cola brown with a nose of malt, smoke, choc, cinnamon, coffee, licorice, and a hop wallop. Taste is similar with lingering chocolate and hops. Interesting blend of bitters: chocolate and coffee with hops. A very hoppy porter, but good.

Dec 31, 2008 Bottle courtesy of kiefdog. Pours dark brown with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of citrus and floral hops with chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good.

Dec 30, 2008 Bottle received as a Christmas gift from my brother in law, thanks Neil! Pour was jet black and had medium carbonation. Aroma was interesting for a porter, initial stong hop aroma with a little bit of malt. Flavor was very good, crisp toasty malts, hops, molasses, maple and a rich and smoky finish. Overall a very good FFF offering that is likely be enjoyed by most.
