Bottle about three years old. Even though porters are not my favorite this beer kicked butt. Dark in color with a big head. Taste was super intense roasted malt. Nice touch of chocolate, it lacked on the hops but I think that was due to its age. Medium texture, overall very enjoyable! Thanks again Bruce for sharing! hapjydeuce (774), Del Mar, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 3, 2008 Bottled. Awesome looking beige head that caps off the black liquid. Plenty of carbonation bubbling to the surface. Impressive spots and lacing throughout. Damn this looks good. Bitter cacao aroma with subtle coffee behind it and blackened wood with smoke. Nutty and roasty flavor of chocolate malt that follows the aroma pretty well, with tones of graham cracker and citrus. I was expecting a bit fuller body, but this suits the style very well. High alpha acid hops in the finish. Thoroughly enjoyable. cgarvieuk (4269), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 2, 2008 This porter was amazing. It poured a gorgeous brown with a thing white head. The aroma was nuts, roasted malt, chocolate, and a tinge of hops. The taste is chocolate and marshmallow, roasted malts, and spice. Amazing, perhaps the best christmas beer there is. nimbleprop (951), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 29, 2008 You just never know about these Christmas beers. Bomber pours a translucent, deep, dark brown with a thin white head that fades fast. Aroma is nutty with chocolate, slight coffee with some nice, citrusy hops rounding out the aroma. Flavor had plenty of chocolate and reminded me a bit of DFH’s Chicory Stout in that way, some spicy sugar, roasted malts, nuts and a dash of biscuit. Finish was dry and a little creamy with some lasting roasted and hop bitterness. One of the better "Christmas" beers I’ve had and a very nice offering from FFF. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2008 bottle, aroma is very chocolaty, some definite malt in the aroma. Very chocolate taste, almost over the top. The flavor is good but it’s not a very complex beer. It’s good but I would probably not buy again IlanMan (850), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Thanks to Haslinger for this one. Pour was dark with full tan head. Aroma was strong cocoa and light malt. Flavor was very sweet with a lot of cocoa; perhaps too much. Finish is dry, alcoholic, and has a medium bitterness. Good but maybe a little sweet and chocolaty. Might buy again. Lothore (276), California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- Pours a little dark for a porter, pretty black, a small coffee colored head.
S- Smells way hopped up, like an ipa only with notes of roasted malt.
T- Three floyds definitely has a distinct taste in the hops. Fairly smooth, chocolatey, roasted malt, mint aftertaste. I could definitely see this one being a winner around xmas time.
M- Creamy, tad light on the head.
D- This one is a bit heavy for a porter but still highly drinkable. In my opinion three floyds often doesn’t live up to the hype but I have to admit this one was excellent.
