22oz bottle from mdm46410. Quite sweet and fruity aroma. Dried banana chips, sugared dry pineapple, spicy yeast and alcohol. Pours bright, clear copper/amber. Nearly still looking with hardly any carbonation and a very quickly disappearing white head. Yeah, it’s a sweet beer but it’s far from sticky or cloying. There’s plenty of sweet tropical fruit, spicy yeast, honey, bready malt and alcohol. Although hidden well on the nose, it’s hard to hide 16% on the palate. Leaning toward full bodied. Light carbonation with some lingering fruity esters and dry hops on the finish. A good beer for sure but lacking something somewhere...

Pours a lightly cloudy orange hue with a no head. Aromas of pine, yeast and hay/straw. Flavors of pine, citrus, banana and honey with a thick mouth feel. A little disappointing.

Bottle thanks to drewbeerme. Pours a clear copper color with a quick receding beige head. Sweet, fruity (banana) aroma. Smooth, caramel malt entry with great fruity esters (banana and apricot) lead into a nice, dry finish. Although it was sweet, it wasn’t cloying. Just the right thickness on the palate. Alcohol wasn’t detectable at all, which was sort of surprising for 16%. Thanks for the brew, Drew.

Bottle shared by yobdoog. Very herbal, fruity aroma, sage and thyme. That bit isn’t too bad, but the flavor is sickly sweet and cloying, a bit watery up front, and a very metallic finish. Really was tough to drink.

Thanks to yobdoog for sharing - cloudy peach-colored beer, zero head, syrupy body - smells of orange peel, coriander, marmalade, over-ripe fruit - syrup thick and very sweet - caramelized sugars, candi sugar, honey - very boozy - some banana, rotting apples - gets a bit medicinal and hot in the finish.

Bottle Thanks yobdoog: Pours a nice deep orange color. The aroma is huge. Sweet candy malts with a nice Belgian yeast character. Sweet fruits like fig, ripe banana. the body is sticky and extremely sweet. Not very hot, but just evidently big. Some candy sugar, fig and just syrupy. Banana sweetness and overly sweet everywhere. Overdone.

Bottle from Sean, who raped me on the price of this one too. Thanks buddy. Pours out a dark reddish brown color with no head at first. Slowly the head appears from the bottom. It smells like alcohol. For a second, then it has a sweet, caramel like smell. Taste is fruity, sweet, rich, but seemingly close to flat. I think this because of the high level of alcohol in it. A good beer, but not worth the cost. Worth a try, but it seems that belgians need to be made by Allagash, Russian River, Lost Abbey, or the monks in Belgium. A for effort though. Thanks Sean.
