22 ounce bottle shared with theisti
Pours a firey red and orance. No real head to comment on. Clear. Very pretty.
Lots of fruit in the nose. Pineapple, cherry, banana. Some clove.
Lots of banana and clove flavor. The alcohol is certainly there, but not overbaring.
Very full bodied. Light carbonation. Sweet finish.
Really good, but I can see drinking a whole bottle of this stuff by myself.

22-oz bottle received from tjthresh. Pours hazy amber with a small, fizzy, off-white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, caramel, cookie), light hops (flowers), heavy yeast (dough) with notes of alcohol, banana, and toffee. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, average carbonation, and a dry, bitter finish. Long duration, heavy sweetness, acidity, moderate bitterness; candied bananas covered with warm caramel.

22 oz bomber. Pours like a bottle of orange syrup. Aroma is sweet, thick, and stongly alcoholic. Flavor is similar. I found it a bit cloying, and strong in alcohol. Not as subtle as a really good Belgian, but still a tasty beer.

22oz bomber
Pours a very clear, dark amber with zero head. None. Aroma of cloves, some citrus and lots of alcohol. Taste was a little medicine-y, but that high alcohol content was transparent. Not Three Floyd’s best, but I’ve had worse.

Bomber from Three Floyds Brewery in chicago. Clear, dark amber with small white head. Spiced abbey yeast aroma with a little sweet fruit. Flavor is like a alc banana milk shake with sweet citrus dough. Full bodied and creamy, alc burn. I expected something a lot different and better.

I dont know about this one?? Way to much alcohol and bacteria. Smells like a strong barley wine. Tastes of lactobacilis, acid milk, loads of cloves and bananas. Palate is sweet and acid with a hard burn. Aftertaste of caramel flowers and vodka.

(11/3/07, 22oz bottle, thanks mj) Minimal beige head atop clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, alcohol, some bubblegum, banana. Taste is sweet, herbal, boozy, Belgian yeast, light bubblegum. Mediu-full body, low carbonation, light acidity.

Huge nose of banana and alcohol, with some sharp candy sugar and honey also heavy in the nose, and it basically smells how I expected – heavy sugar with some Belgian yeast esters. Thankfully it doesn’t taste like a sugar bomb, instead it’s big, chewy, and sticky malts up front, then some sharp banana yeast esters and dark fruits over the middle, finally ending with a light tingle of alcohol and some sticky, resinous honey oil flavors. Interesting and drinkable, and thankfully not some ridiculous sugar bomb like the 15% Avery brews, but still it lacks depth and oomph.
