Bottle generously shared by thickfreakness at the recent tasting. Thanks!
Pours a clear orange color with light beige head. Smell is sugary caramel and lightly of bananas. Taste is creamy, sugary and banana and light spice-like. Medium body and carbonation. Surprisingly, pretty good, if not a bit sweet, but the 13% was hidden well, and I didn’t have a hard time finishing my sample as well as the girlfriend’s too. Not remarkable, but still enjoyable.

10/02/2008: Alpha Kong "Sex Tuppel" is a "Belgian Style Stong Ale" that might be a bit overpriced, but it does deliver a very satisfying experience. The aroma is incredibly intense and completely packed full of rich, chewy toffee and caramel and bushels of fresh, ripe fruit as well as aged fruits, bubblegum, and lots of Belgian candi sugar. There is even a hint of coconut. Sweet alcohol also wafts from the glass and is enough to make my mouth water! Alpha Kong also has the appearance of a strong, Belgian-style beer - somewhat opaque, deep golden/orange color, mile carbonation, and just a very thin veil on the surface. The flavor is also intense as well as complex. A massive amount of sweet malt flavor including smooth caramel and slightly spicy toffee attack the palate right away. It softens up in the middle to reveal a really complex and difficult to descrive assortment of fruit including banana, tropical fruits, dark fruits, mellon, and coconut. Subtle spice and bubblegum is sprinkled throughout. The flavor is so big that it does an excellent job of keeping the lid on the extremely high alcohol content that is barely noticed but for that warming flavor that sneaks up as more and more beer goes down the throat! However, this beer does get hotter as it warms as the alcohol starts to become more and more evident. This is a full-bodied Belgian Ale that has a think, smooth, creamy, and mellow mouthfeel. Wow, what a surprise and treat this beer is. Now I understand why it carries such a lofty price tag!

1 pint 6 fl oz bottle via tish. Thank you! Rating #215 for this beer...

@ home with the club. Pours a hazy amber no head. Smells of alcohol. Very sweet with a aromas of banana caramel and hints of glue/rubber. Full bodied with a sticky mouthfeel.

Appearance is a cloudy dark amber hue, no head or lacing to be found. Aroma is sweet and boozy with a nice range of light fruits, sweet grain malts, yeast, bubblegum, and spices. Flavor falls a bit, initially syrupy sweet fruit syrup and bread malts on a thick layer of alcohol warming, opens up to bananas, tropical fruit, and bubblegum, finishes hot. Palate is full-bodied with a thick viscous texture and mild carbonation. A bit disappointing for FFF, the alcohol overwhelms most of the taste profile, overly sweet, lacking in balance.

Thanks Dim Bottle poured into a pint glass produced next to no white head. All on top of a cloudy brownish orange body Aromas of Belgian yeast (bananas, clove) and sweet malts filled my nose. You could tell this thing had some alcohol in it as well This one was sweet for sure tons of sweet malts and candy sugar. A light spiciness and some alcohol warmth also are present very thick mouthfeel almost no carbonation at all Drinkability on this, well face it is a sipper at 15% .I cracked this one open the day I made the Jerk recipe from the BA mag and I was glad I did. It really helps tame the heat from the Jerk sauce. I know I could not have handled more than this bomber myself. I did however thoroughly enjoy it

Thanks to Juancho. I would call this a dessert beer. Drink it almost warm. Sweet aroma of pinata candy. Heavy bodied, syrupy, nice sweet maltiness, taste of bananas and caramel. Real Nice.

At RateBeerians tasting session. Thanks to Menendez Brothers. Bottle: Strong gumblegum aroma that spills over into taste. For the style too sweet too adventurous.
