bottle - Pours lightly hazy orange with a thin head. The aroma is of sweet malt, some dark fruits, and some alcohol which one would expect given the high abv. The flavor is of sweet, syrupy caramel malt, a touch of yeast, some dark fruits, and of course the alcohol. Noticeable hops presence is light, which seems to be common with these extremely high gravity beers. It’s certainly an interesting beer.

Appears autumn colored in the glass, a fire-like orange, with a small, quicky diminishing foam. Nose of caramel, light and dark fruits, as well as a touch of booze. Incredibly flavorful and well balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Notes of Banana, pear skins, golden raisin, cinnamon, apples and pastries, with loads of caramel. Alcohol hidden well, of course I have a special palate in that I hardly ever taste alcohol in beer and this is no different. Nice mouth feel.

22 oz bottle. Fogged peachy brown with a white haze. Nose is buttery toffee, yeast and candied golden raisin. Almost syrupy with a light tingle. Taste is quite hot; mead, bitter caramel and green banana. An amped up Quad for sure

Aroma’s pretty sweet, but in a pleasant way, and consists of caramel malt, candi sugar, alcohol and fruit. Flavour of sweet caramel malt, sugar, alcohol, fruit and floral hops. Alcohol’s definitely there but it doesn’t detract in my enjoyment. Sticky mouthfeel, average bodied. A very good version of the style -- I loved it.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Garthicus, and Blankboy, courtesy of Harry. Dark golden orange, small orange’ish white head. Strong sweet caramel aroma, some yeast and candy sugar. Taste is very very strong - caramel, sugar, intense alcohol. Way way way too much! I love the flavours but this simply overwhelms and is almost undrinkable because of the intenseness. Maybe with some age? Disappointing in this state.

HogTownHarrys bottle, thanks Harry!!! Shared with Harry, Blankboy and Tupalev: Appearance: Golden ruby red, dirty eggshell head. Aroma: Candy and cherry, banana and tanned leather. Flavour: WOW, I don’t know where to start..... okay, here goes: Like a glass of cherry syrup, some banana, sticky, syrupy, incredible! I can’t say I could drink more than a pint but DAMN it’s good!

Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, garthicus and tupalev, my bottle. Clear light orange-amber, minimal head. Aroma of intensely perfumey hops, alcohol and very sweet Belgian candi sugar. Taste - also strong hard candy sweetness and floral pungency, God that’s sweet and boozy, but way better than many of those Avery sweet booze monsters. Thin and syrupy body, extremely pungent and alcoholic ---- why do I like this so much? So floral and sweet!

Pours with an amber body with no head or lacing. It’s sweet, a little to sweet actually, and malty with a yeasty undertone as well as some banana notes. Medium to full bodied, smooth and slightly warming.
