Rating #255. Dark orange color, with a kind of dull glow to it. Very potent and rich aroma, very heavy duty. Sweet, big grain flavor, really hard to describe and not nearly as hot as I though it would be. ) daknole (3027), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Aroma is spicy, yeasty, fruit and some alcohol. Big huge beer, tons of spice and some caramel and brown sugar notes. A bit too hot. I think this one would age nicely. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Glass:Taster.
Appearance:Hazy deep gold pour with a one finger off white head.
Aroma:Rotten dark fruits and yeast. Bread dough as well.
Flavor:Yeast and dark fruits dominate with a defined alcohol presence.
Palate:Full body with soft carbonation.
Overall:This was an excellent beer. With Pannepot opened at the tasting, it took a back seat, but still very good.

Aroma of overripe fruit and a little yeast. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, sweetish overripe fruit - almost syrupy - with delicious Sherry accents. The finish is alcoholic with hardly any hop presence. Really, this is a Quad all over. 290509 Ungstrup (15414), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Blind tasting at Papsø’s Hazy orange-amber color. Sweet aroma, fruity caramel (Belgian style), with oak sweetness and light vanilla; persistent; later, a bit alcoholic. Good body, mainly due to a sweet caramel flavor, with malt, some fruitness (peaches, tangerines and sweet oranges), good bitterness, but too much alcohol at the end. Confused, but good. Bottle. [Papso Shady blind Tasting 2009] Small beige bubbly head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma of dried fruit, yeast, nutty, malty molasses, warming alcohol. Full bodied with an average carbonation and somewhat thick alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet flavor. Lingering raisin and dates finish. Felt more like a Quart at the time of tasting it even this was a blind tasting. 8 / 4 / 9 / 4 / 17 = 4.2
