hazy orange, wispy beige head, streaks of drippy lace,
huge sweet fruity aroma with lots of growing green apple and a touch of alcohol,
big thick body,
rich fruity flavor, light balancing bitterness but the sweet fruity is the whole story, nice brown sugar sweetness just enforces the fruity character,

argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Nov 18, 2007 (11/3/07, 22oz bottle, thanks mj) Minimal beige head atop clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, alcohol, some bubblegum, banana. Taste is sweet, herbal, boozy, Belgian yeast, light bubblegum. Mediu-full body, low carbonation, light acidity. CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 11, 2005 Sampled at the March 25th Tosa Gathering, growler courtesy of BBB63: Pours a clear still copper with a thin, lightly-lacing off-white head. Aroma has a nice bready Belgian malty and yeasty presence with some sweet toasty candi sugar. Starts very rich and caramely malty with some clove, peppery spice and light fruits. Overwhelming with malt and sweet sugar with plenty of alcohol to back it up. Good complexity and flavor, but loses points for its lack of drinkability. Has some pleasant Belgian characteristics, but it’s just not something I’d want to have more than a few ounces of at any given time. hopdog (4654), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 7, 2007 22oz bottle shared courtesy of axilla. Poured a deep orange color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of bananas, sugary, syrupy, citrus, spices, and caramel. Tastes of caramel, sugary, bananas, and citrus. Way too sweet for my tastes. I never would have guessed this puppy was 16%! A minor milestone as this rating has me passing DocLock for #1 rater in PA (I’m sure we’ll be see sawing back and forth!). hopscotch (4591), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2005 Home bottling... RBSG2005... This beer rocks!... Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Excellent retention. Flowers, citrus and pine. Esters of pear and banana. Caramel, dark fruits and alcohol in both the nose and flavor. Sweet, rich palate is balanced by alcohol, moderate bitterness and acidic notes. Full-bodied and syrupy with lively carbonation. Finishes, sweet, vineous and grassy. Terrific brew!
