Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with an orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of hops, grass, and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, hops, grass, and over ripe fruits. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit and a little yeast. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, sweetish overripe fruit - almost syrupy - with delicious Sherry accents. The finish is alcoholic with hardly any hop presence. Really, this is a Quad all over. 290509

From bottle, blind #17. Pours cloudy orange to dark orange with a small off-white head. Wineous and roasted malt aroma. Dense alcohol. Flavour too is burning alcohol all the way. Solid caramel, phenolic and slight spiced. Warming alcohol finish. lasting phenolic and spiced impression.

Bottle #17 at Papsø’s blindtasting. Cloudy orange coloured with a medium sized off white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, dried fruits and vanilla. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits, liquorice and alcohol with notes of oak. Warming alcoholic finish.

hazy orange, wispy beige head, streaks of drippy lace, huge sweet fruity aroma with lots of growing green apple and a touch of alcohol, big thick body, rich fruity flavor, light balancing bitterness but the sweet fruity is the whole story, nice brown sugar sweetness just enforces the fruity character,

Blind tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy orange-amber color. Sweet aroma, fruity caramel (Belgian style), with oak sweetness and light vanilla; persistent; later, a bit alcoholic. Good body, mainly due to a sweet caramel flavor, with malt, some fruitness (peaches, tangerines and sweet oranges), good bitterness, but too much alcohol at the end. Confused, but good.

(11/3/07, 22oz bottle, thanks mj) Minimal beige head atop clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, alcohol, some bubblegum, banana. Taste is sweet, herbal, boozy, Belgian yeast, light bubblegum. Mediu-full body, low carbonation, light acidity.

(22oz bottle) Pours a clear orange body with a spare off-white head. Aroma of coriander, bubblegum, orange, banana, apricot, sugary pear skin, and clove. Flavor of orange, caramel malt, somewhat medicinal/vitamin (found the same in their saison), and candi sugar. Was surprised to find this one clocked in at 16% abv.
