Commercial Description:
This complex double India pale ale has an intense citrus and floral hop aroma balanced by a velvety malt body which has been augmented with lactose milk sugar. With this different take on an IPA we have brewed an ale that is both pleasing to drink and, once again, “not normal.” 100 IBU 9.5%ABV

Draft: Pours a dark amber-gold with a large white head and lacing. Nose is big on citrus and floral hops with some sweet notes present. Thick, sticky body...flavors are some light bread dough, some pine, citrus and a bit of a back end sweetness. Good brew

light amber body with a medium dirty white head. big citrus nose, fairly sweet top to bottom with hops being playing second fiddle. too sweet for me. the lactose was very mild to me, I guess it filled out the palate a bit.

Pours copper with a nice off white head. Smells metallic, citrussy, some earthy undertones. Tastes citrussy and caramelly with some resiny splashes on the finish.

Thanks to Ashley (I think)@The Yardhouse for this bottle! This is my kind of DIPA. Pours a rich copper that is mostly clear and a big foamy white head with some lacing. Huge citrus hop aroma with a big underpining of caramel malt. This beer tastes almost oak aged. So smooth with big creamy notes that I find out later are from lactose. Neat idea. The creaminess takes the edge off the hops. Great flavor from the hops with a strong but not ridiculous bitterness. This is another great beer from 3F

After having twice now I still couldn’t really pick out lactose but maybe it aided the nice velvety body. Aroma of very big hops, citrus and some pine to balance the sweet creamy body.. Pretty mellow for 9.5%

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop and malt aroma. Medium body with slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good beer.

Bottle thanks to St.Fun. Pours with a hazed orange body and a creamy, off-white head. Aroma is perfumery, with tons of floral-flower notes, citrus, some honey and dough. Taste is bready, and sweet in an odd, coffee-creamer sort of way. Some lemon citrus, but really light hops for a DIPA. Creamy mouthfeel.

from 22oz bomber. poured copper in color with a small white head that left little lacing on the taster glass. Aroma of floral, resiny hops, grapefruit, and light caramel. Mouth feel is very smooth and creamy, which works well with this one. Tastes of citrus and piney hops, sweet malt. Very nice. I really enjoyed this and could have drank a ton of it.
