Sure looks like a Heller Bock, a brownish orange body with a substantial off-white head. The aroma is light, some sweet malts with a touch of caramel. Same with the flavor with the addition of some earthy, herbal bitterness to cut the sweetness. A bit watery, but quite quaffable.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Tap at brewery: Bronze and amber hued with a small fading head an some lace. The aroma has notes of caramel, toffee, plum, juniper berry, candi sugar, and grassy hops. The taste starts fruity and sweet, lots of caramelized malting before a peppery and herbal finish. Some mild bitterness rounds off the palate. The mouth feel is soft and smooth. A good use of noble hops but a tad too sweet IMO. HogTownHarry (4026), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Draught. At the brewpub. Clear amber with a small white diminishing head. Middling light roast malt aroma, cereal grain richness, mild apricot and floral hops. Tasted followed the aroma, some interesting and unexpected salty green olive tartness mixed in, otherwise it seemed pretty appropriate to the style and I liked it. Light, slick body, only mild carbonation, with a hint of astringency and a fairly quick finish. My notes say "very good Maibock" and I they compliment TF on another keep-the-hops-in-check brew. Clear gold body that supports a firm off-white head.
Big malt nose that follows it up with clean malt flavors that are delivered lightly and smoothly.
Hides it alcohol well. Well done. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
