Tap @ FFF. Pours a hazy copper body with a creamy tight bubbled white head. Huge citrus nose with a hefty caramel malt base. A touch of alcohol noticeable. The flavor is hugely bitter, but not harsh at all, really well hidden alcohol as well. Thick sweet caramel backbone. Chewy full body with nice fizzy carbonation that cuts through the thickness well. Pretty warming on the finish. Big and good. I like it better than Dreadnaught for sure.

Tap at the brewpub. This is really nice. Nose is a bit uninspiring (tart hops, fruit skin, maybe a little grain) but flavor is very smooth and great! Orange, grapefruit, honey-flavored hops, nice creamy texture. Very good - gives Dread a run for its money.

Tap a FFF. Pours a dark orange, slightly hazy. Tall, foamy white head stays forever. Aroma is heavy on pine hops. I mean HEAVY, very one dimensional aroma. Flavor is like sucking on pine needles. Strong bitter finish,. Surprisingly sweet. Decent malt backbone, but this is a flat out hop bomb. Strange floral dance happening in the middle that is super exciting. Oily mouth feel. Very heavy. Carbonation levels are spot on and silky smooth. Overall, an excellent beer. Would like some more malt to balance it out more.

Tap at FFF. Pours cloudy burnt orange with white foamy head. Fresh, juicy orange and hop overload. Orange taste dominates and is very, very good. Nice offering, would be interesting to see if this makes it to the bottling line.

Shared growler brought back from FFF’s brewpub. Poured a hazy, deep amber color with an average, off white head that reduced rather quickly to a film and foamy ring, but left some lasting streaks, ribbons, and spots of lacing. The aroma was big, with citrus, pineapple, and sweet, mid-toned fruit as apricot and peach. The flavor continued these, adding some pine, assertive hop bitterness, and rich malt, which gave the beer an altogether thick, full mouthfeel. A maltier cousin of the Dreadnaught, typically FFF potent and hoppily enjoyable.

On draft at The Map Room. Pours an unclear orange with a sudsy white head. Aroma is lovely, piney and peachy, bright and inviting. Flavor is harshly bitter and piney, some nice juiciness, extremely resinous, finishes a bit astringent though that really detracts from the overall. Sugary body, fluffy somewhat chunky carbonation. Didn’t live up to expectations for me... =p

Growler shared by bvc courtesy of stfun, that cool malt liquor dude! Fuck yeah! Nose is juicy with lots of citrus, grapefruit, a little pine and some floral notes too. Golden orange, hazy with a nice creamy white head.the flavor is full of juicy fruit and pine. Lots of grapefruit, some orange, piney hops. Malt base provides balance and is a little sweet, a little doughy. Dry bitterness picks up the finish. Super oily and dry. Rough and chewy but still highly drinkable. Solid iipa.

Growler courtesy of StFun, thanks man! Pour a hazy orangish brown with tight slightly off white head that leaves some lacing. Nose is very juicy with tropical fruit resiny hops and some slight pine notes. Sticky body to is with some depth and prickly carbonation. Slightly sweet ad citric up front and in the middle and then on the end of that some non assertive malt lingers briefly before becoming very dry ad bitter. Very astringent at the end also...you can really feel it on enamel of my teeth. As Alex points out, it is very drinkable and straight forward. I would also say that the nose is really the high point for this.
