Bottle. Medium high fluffy but lasting off-white head. Clear amber body. Lovely and powerful apple pear honey caramel aroma, sweet but good. Flavor also strong and good with a dry, spicy and hoppy caramel honey fruityness. Low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. In spite of the high alcohol percentages this is not too much of a good thing. Alcohol can be tasted but mingles in a fine way with the hops bitterness.

2007 bottle (Yellow Wax). Pours a dull copper color, capped with a small khaki head that dissipates quickly. Beautiful aroma, with loads of hops, toffee, caramel, molasses, grapefruit and honey. Flavor is caramel for an instant, then resinous hops take over. Grapefruit, herbs, tobacco and honey round out the palate. Hops resins cling to the palate for a long finish. Medium bodied and silky smooth. Nice b-wine, but I wish it lived up to its aroma.

2008 bottle from TheEpeist, thanks! Sark amber color. Plums, raisin and earthy hops in the aroma. Strong alcoholic flavor with grapes, plums, oak and pineapple. Pipe tobacco. Firm beer, malty sweet and with a good complexity.

Bottled (yellow wax = November 2006, Vasa session). Dark amber-brown color, small off-white head. Caramel, citrusy hops, bread and white pepper in the nose, also some fruity notes. Sweetish toffee, caramelly brew with bready and hoppy flavors, Alcohol rises in the finish. A bit liquerish palate. Heavy stuff. Not really very complex, but good sipping beer.

Malty, sugary notes, some caramel, grassy, spicy flavor, really hoppy, grapefruit, salty and some salmiak. Long pleasant bitter finish with grass and salt.
