Aroma is very well balanced of citrus hops, caramel malts, and small sweet notes of alcohol. Flavor is bitter sweet. Palate is smooth, thick and lush...very solid beer. Aroma of heavy malt and lots of floral hops. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit some alcohol and quite bitter. Its complex and very balanced, lots of everything but nothing to overwhelming. Aroma is brown sugar and grapefruit and citrus hop notes. Flavor is nice and sweet with toasted malts, candy sugar and yeast and just a faint remnance of hops leaving a light bitterness. Clear pumpkin/amber colored pour, almost no carbonation and a very rich malt, flowers and alcohol aroma. Flavor is syrupy caramelly malts, muddled herbs, and finished with lingering booze and hops. Barley Wines are generally hit or miss with me, but I really liked this one.
