220z bottle. Pours black with a foamy, tan head. Aroma is of hops, caramel, chocolate, nuts, and coffee. Taste is of earthy hops, chocolate, nuts, coffee, vanilla, and sugar. Has an underyling backbone of light toasted malt. Lingering hop taste. Light, creamy mouthfeel. Needs more booze in the body. Drinkable, but the flavors are slightly muted.

Bottle sampled at the Hopsnobbery Collective stout tasting on 1.16.09. Thanks Bill for this one. Pours a very dark black pour with a tan, caramel head full of small bubbles. Aggressively hopped, with a very strong chocolate malt backbone. Finishes dry with those aggressively spicy hops kicking in. Weird for a "dry stout", but all in all pretty good.

Bottle sampled at the Hopsnobbery Collective stout tasting on 1.16.09. Black color, as the name would suggest, with a medium tan head. Sweet aroma with a bit of hop that seems a bit off. Dry coffee flavor with some alcohol and a malty finish. Not bad, but I expected it to be better.

Sampled at the Hopsnobbery Collective Stout tasting on 01/16/09. Pours black with a medium thin and foamy tan head that burns away to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Earthy malt and astringent hops in the nose. Medium, dry body with flavors of dark malt and fruits, cocoa and bitter hops. The finish is earthy and malty with a lingering bitter hops aftertaste. Overall this beer shows promise but the ever-present astringency in the bottle I tried undermined it. I will have to try it again.

Pitch black coloured body with a super dense deep brown head that fades and leaves the perfect top on a beer. Aroma of - you guessed it - HOPS!! Very little else in the aroma-some malt and burnt sugars, but really the only thing very noticeable are the hops. Medium to Full-bodied; Nice hoppy taste up front - high a.a. but lingering behind are all the other tastes, the roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and light nuttiness. Aftertaste shows a lot of hops still and some sweet sugars. Overall, a nice beer - if you had your eyes closed while enjoying this one, you’d be hard pressed to pick a style of beer. Obviously, this stratles the line and is definitely worth trying either for an IPA or a stout! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Vienna, Virginia on 15 July 2006 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Crushed with Jakebra. Got the same old Three Floyds hops aroma... and its delicious. Very thin bodied yet bursting with flavor. Pretty sexy. Got Honkeybra to thank for this, so I do.

Pours a dark brown color with thick off white head. Aroma is of intensely herbaceous, with notes of floral hops and pine, as well as roasted malt. Taste is piney, spicey, with bits of chocolate and roasted malt. Finish is mildly carbonated with a full body and slightly creamy. This would have scored higher if not for the funky nose and taste.

Pours black with a medium creamy mocha head that fades thinly, leaving very little lacing. Aroma is dark roasts, coffee, piney hops, and some notes of alcohol it seems. Taste is creamy with the dry finish - dark roasts and the piney hops are equally balanced an encompass the majority of the flavor. Even though it is rather hoppy, it is not very bitter and still keeps the brew creamy. Enjoyable.
