Some alcohol taste and maybe some vanilla. Neither sweet or overly bitter. Pours dark brown with a light brown head that lingers a little. Very drinkable. Recommended. This one was crazy carbonated out of the bottle with a huge light brown head that overflowed the glass. It pours black with no light penetrating. There is at least one inch of head throughout and great lacing.
The aroma is very interesting for a dry stout and has a pronounced citrus hop kick up front before the roasted malts take over. There is a little bit of coffee bitterness in the nose as well.
The taste has the same citrus hops up front but has a more roasted coffee flavor than the aroma would suggest. There is the dark malt backbone before the hops come back in the finish which is nice and dry, about the only thing that is strictly within style.
The mouthfeel is very creamy with tons and tons of carbonation. There is a slightly dry and hoppy finish.
This is one unique take on a dry stout and very, very good. It’s also extremely drinkable for a stout - a great session brew. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA

Pours out a slick oily black with a minimal tan head. Aroma is complex and earthy with hints of chocolate, dried fruits, dry roasted malt and wet wood. Flavor is slightly sweet, but not excessive and is well balanced by a strong hop backbone. Mouthfeel is solid without being syrupy and has a subtle persistent carbonation. Finish is dry and slightly ashy. Overall an outstanding low alcohol stout that I wish I could find more often. danielcurtis81 (910), San Diego, California, USA

Caramel and malt on the nose. Good malt flavors at first, give way to caramel and good coffee flavors. A nice bitter finish. Real good beer. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2008 Bomber courtesy of StFun. Pours a dark brown with a 2 finger beige head. Spotty, delicate lacing. Nose is dark fruit, light chocolate and coffee and yeasty bread. Taste is more dark fruits upfront, with some smoked malts, cocoa and roasty coffee in the finish. Medium mouth feel. Interesting stout. Thanks Josh! awaisanen (1279), Irvine, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2008 From a 22oz Bottle. Dark brown, cocoa hued pour with a thick layer of fine bubbled tan foam. Aromas of coffee, cocoa, and piney hops. This particular bottle has a little age on it, which actually seems to have made the roast and hop characters come into balance much better; additionally, there doesn’t seem to be any major oxidation effects. Hints of prune and molasses. Medium light bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a dry, roasty finish. Light bodied and easy drinking for a stout, but plenty of flavor. Roasty coffee and cocoa flavors with a touch of piney hops and hints of licorice. Clean and toasty, without any excessive malt sugars to cloud up the palate. knbratt (1), Walnut Hill, Illinois, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Wonderful stout!
