Commercial Description:
Dry and surprisingly light-bodied. Malty sweetness and caramel flavors shift to distinctive dry-roasted malt notes.

I really liked this beer, I’m surprised it’s not ranked higher. Pours black with virtually no head. Mouthfeel is great, hops up front with smooth finish. Almost like a smoked porter/stout. My only complaint is I would like to have it a little more full bodied but the flavor is about right for 5.25%.

Pours pitch black with a thin fluffy mocha-colored head. Aroma of sweet roast, coffee, roasty chocolate, alefruits, brown sugar, smoke, pepper and bourbon. Taste is lightly sweet and smokey with notes of coffee and sweet maltiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lush (over)carbonation and just a lingering amount of sweetness that I enjoy in a dry stout.

Black with a tan large head. Hoppy smell at the first whiff but quicks goes to roasted coffee and dark chocalate aromas. Coffee and roasted flavors are nice and it finishes with some strong hopiness at the back of the palate.

22 oz. bottle from (I think) slob! Pours ebony and opaque with a small tan head. Very torasty aroma, bitter chcolate, molasses, herbal and floral hops, orange zest, french roast coffee. Unsurprisingly has a roasty flavor as well, dark unsweetened chocolate, slightly soured milk, herbal notes, prune, lots of floral and slightly citrus hops, bitter coffee. Medium body, velvety mouthfeel and gentle carbonation. Nice treat from 3F’s.

Pours black with a hint of coffee smell. Not cloudy at all. Thin body for this type of beer. Roasted malt flavor.

Pours black as coal with a thin dissapating tan head.Aromas of hops and coffee. The hop presence was too much for me.The finish was hop bitterness.

Bottle from Discount Liquor. Pours a deep brown bordering on what could be black. Clear as in not hazy or cloudy. Nose is rather dull with a bit of smoky, roasted malts. Ehhh, only okay. Thin on the tongue which I detest.
