22 oz bomber from tjthresh. Pour is mostly clear orange golden with a one inch off white head. Nice lacing as the head falls. Aroma of bready, fresh, slightly caramelly sweet hops. There is some orange peel citrus layered on top. Taste is the citrus, caramel breadiness to start, transitioning pretty quick to some bitterness and alcohol heat. Starts off nice, but gets a bit overpowering. Palate is mouth coating, slick and hot. Dial this one down, and I would really enjoy it.

Rating # 300. Pours hazy golden orange with white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, oak, pine, and malt. Flavor is english hops, citrus and caramel with a touch of oak and vanilla. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Hides alcohol very well. This is about as good an engilish style IPA can get in my opinion.

22oz. Bomber Pours a cloudy golden orange color, nice carbonation, nice little creamy head, with some nice thick creamy sticky lacing. The nose is hoppy with some malts, bourbon/whiskey, slight oak, with some citrus. The taste is very nice, really different, hoppy, with some malts, oaky, with some bourbon/whiskey notes, sweet, with some citrus. Medium body. Very drinkable, like I said this is a different English IPA, also never had a English IPA at 9% ABV. Glad to have a chance to check this badboy out, Thanks Christian.

22 oz bottle

After missing this at the Great Taste I was fortunate enough to come across a bottle at Keg Liquors in Clarksville. Not only can I recommend this as a great IPA but I highly recommend that if you ever find yourself at Rich O’s/New Albanian that you drive the four miles to Keg. Back to the beer I think that Three Floyds has a winner on their hands. Hopefully this will be a semi-regular release.

Aroma / Appearance - One finger of a dirty white head rested on top of a coppery bronze body. It smelled of floral notes coupled with caramel, malts and more hops than I remember from other IPAs. While not a bomb it certainly was one of the more aggressive ones that I have enjoyed.

Flavor / Palate - Caramel chews, resin and a wheaty malt profile form the start of this fantastic experience. Culminating in a dry woodiness that is like a pine forest in the middle of a cold winter afternoon it leaves a mark on the throat and tongue. Definitely a sipping beer it took a few hours to polish off only two glasses. This may be more due to the fact that I was enjoying it rather than the intensity but either way it was a great way to finish off an evening.

Bottle: Copper, light head and lacing. Nose of bright earthy hops, doughy and citrusy, tons of pine and oak notes. An almost bourbony note along with the bright but calm earthy hop notes. oaky woody finish. good.

22oz bomber. Poured hazy copper in color with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus hops, caramel malt, and lightly piney. Tastes is standard of English hops, light citrus, pine, with a sweet malt base. Outstanding body, and carbonation. This one sort of reminds me of the Dreadnaught recipe, but with less favorable English ingredients.

22oz bottle from Travisd13. Pours cloudy amber with a thin white head, specks of lace. Smells fruity and sweet malty with some wood and a touch of hops. Tastes slightly spicy hoppy up front with lots of malt and wood sweetness on the finish. Hop flavors are citrusy and lemony and the malts are sweet and caramelly. The wood is very pronounced on the nose and in the taste. Medium body, good carbonation.

Bottle from tjthresh - Thanks! Pours golden with a small amount of head. Initial aroma is fruity with some light pine notes in there. The malt in this one is delicious - full on caramel and sesame flavors. The hops give some floral characteristics, but the malt and hops really balance each other in this one. Notes of leather and oak - the tannins really work here. The aftertaste, and lingering aroma on this one is beautiful.
