22oz bottle from WLV.....pours a a smooth caramel/reddish brown with a thick slightly off-white head.....aroma of really green pine resin and grassy hops at first but then become less intense and more fruity in nature. malts come into play more....flavors took me for a surprise as the hops were fairly mild. some biscuity and toasty caramel malt pair up with some very earthy hops. for the most part, the flavor keeps it pretty sweet. palatewise, it’s very smooth and creamy in the mouth with just the right amount of carbonation....pretty interesting. how long was this aged in oak? i don’t get too much of it if any at all.

Bomber at Jerry’s. Caramel with big, foamy off-white head / Nose of fresh hops & citrus / Medium body, forward malts match big hops / Flavors of pine, orange, grapefruit, and a big dose of caramel / Outstanding - a companion brew to Dreadnaught, with a more modest hop profile plus the caramel kick.

bottled - very little aroma, peppery malty taste and a little citrus or herbs followed by the hoppy bitterness. it’s a decent beer not bad, not great.

Clear caramel colored pour, with medium off white head, and spotty lacing. Aroma is very interesting and different, earthy hops and mild citrus and floral hops. Nice mildly roasty/ caramelly malt backbone as well. Flavor is very floral, peaches, and grass notes. The flavor really coates your tongue in a mildly unpleasant perfumy sort of way. The body is really nice, but the finish really is a bit off for me hence the 3 on the palate. Like many of 3Fs beers, I really like this, but a sixer of it would end up costing close to $35!!! I definately prefer dreadnaught, but I am glad to have tried it... Plus it’s one of the most kickass looking bottles I’ve seen in a long time!

hops are absolutely delicious, a slightly smoked flavor almost, something very savory without the citrus and hot sweetness of what is found here as opposed to abroad.

In short: A well balanced but extreme American Imperial IPA attitude with English style hopping. We need more examples like this
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Partly cloudy golden body with a medium white head
In long: Too few notes on this one to really go into detailed description of the flavours. Not that important anyway. What’s important is that this starts off as a big bad American IIPA but with a twist, a big twist. English hops! The balance and intensity is up there with the best American IIPA but the flavour profile is something else. None of the pine-tree, pineapples or citrus fruits flavours that we find in American IIPA. Ok maybe some citrus fruits but not a lot. Instead we get an intense hopping with freshly cut grass and tree leafs flavours. I might probably score it lower if there was many other examples like that but this was such a nice change of pace that I fell in love with it from the first sip. Americans like to take an English ideas and just go over the top with it. In America the Croquet game is played with a helmets and 15 pounds metal mallets and you can either win the game by putting your balls through all the loops or by being the last man standing.

I thought this was a very tasty beer that poured a golded color and had a nice white fluffy head with a nice hoppy taste and a spicy touch.CHEERS!

On cask at ale fest(what a nightmare of crowd) it was a nice orangeish color with a nice citrus and pine taste with hints of grapefruit,i will re-rate when on tap at brewpub to get a better feel for it but otherwise a nice ipa for the FFFguys to make.CHEERS!

Tap at Piece. This was one of the most peculiar beers I had from the flight. Definitively hoppy, albeit English. Weird spicy fruitiness through the middle. Some hoppiness and what must have been the oak coming through. Nice color and interesting.

This was pretty cool. an Imperial English Pale ale. Apricot nose, fruity. quite sweet and malty with a spicey bitter hop profile. Very nice.
