May 1, 2009 This poured a dark ruby red color with basically no head at all. Aroma was dark fruits, cherries mainly, some sweet malts and a hint of booze as well. Flavor was just amazing. Nice dark cherries over some bourbon, over the already amazing 3F behemoth. Just awesome.

May 1, 2009 on tap at DLD poured hazy brown with a redish huearomas of bourbon,vanilla and malt taste was amazing sweet alcohol,cherries hops and malts what a great day for great brews

Apr 29, 2009 Draft @ DLD 09: Pour was a dark burgundy color with no head. Very sweet on the nose with some dark fruits, vanilla, fig, caramel and bourbon noted. Body is sticky, sweet...yields a sweet, hoppyy base with some notes of candied cherries, bourbon and vanilla. Great brew.

Apr 29, 2009 Tap at DLD. Pours a ruby color with a soapy beige colored head. Aroma is light cherries, caramel, some earthy hops, alcohol. Flavor is caramel, earthy hops, cherries, oak, bourbon, raisins. Palate is medium bodied, mild carbonation, finished sweet and warming. Nice!

Apr 29, 2009 Tap at DLD. Yep another amazing beer. So good. Dark brown. Fruity, bourbon, sugar, honey, syrup and some light hops. Some tartness exists from the cherries. Overall a damn good beer!

Apr 27, 2009 Tap at DLD. This was little different than the regular bourbon aged Behemoth. Cherry notes were minimal, I guess with a 12.5% highly hopped barleywine it is tough to impart subtelty. Minor fruit notes are found here but this is mostly the same ol’ alcohol and super-caramel and bourbon notes of any BA barleywine. I’ve had better.

Apr 26, 2009 Draft at DLD ’09. This, along with VB Dark Lord were the two biggest surprises at DLD for me. Pours a dark brown with crimson notes. Nose is woody and hoppy, with tart cherry notes pushing through as well. Fantastic aromas pour out of this one. On taste, it’s behemoth, aged on oak, with a huge cherry push. Nice acidity and it couples really well with the vanilla from the barrel as well. Super clean and smooth with a ton of layers to dissect. Awesome.

Apr 26, 2009 DLD 09 tap. Cloudy brown pour with tan head. Aroma is complex- woody, bourbon, and cherries. Flavor was a treat. It was well balanced, nothing overpowering the other. A well concocted mix of great taste. What a day, what beers.
