22oz bomber-A hazy amber body with a nice tight off white head and an aroma of hops, malt, and a little caramel. Flavor begins with hops and malt mixed together on the medium bodied brew. I t finishes with a little caramel and dryness. A nice well balanced brew.

Bottle: pours a hazy, dark brown with a thin lacing of white head around the rim of the glass, aroma of malt and caramel - kinda sweet smell overall, taste is very malty, slightly sweet with a roasted malt finish. This is a pretty nice beer. Not sure I have much to compare it to but I like it!

Bottle: HogTownHarrys bottle, shared with Harry!! Thanks Harry! Brian Boru was carried in state to my hometown before his final resting place. So, Appearance: a deep hazy rust colour. Aroma: Malt and caramel, toffee too, some slight hops too... Flavour: Took me by surprise. malt and coffee and hops and malt again, then hops again! I can’t say this is Irish, but hell, I wish it was!

Three Floyds Brian Boru is a hazy, brown/amber ale with a very small head, off-white head. The aroma is full of malt and fruit. I could not find the word until I read ompher’s description. I agree, lychee is a large part of the aroma. The taste is very malty and flavorful, but only slight bitterness is notable. This is a very good Irish Ale, but not an extraordinary beer.
