| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Three Floyds Brian Boru is a hazy, brown/amber ale with a very small head, off-white head. The aroma is full of malt and fruit. I could not find the word until I read ompher’s description. I agree, lychee is a large part of the aroma. The taste is very malty and flavorful, but only slight bitterness is notable. This is a very good Irish Ale, but not an extraordinary beer.
