Somewhat sweet, with some citrus, caramel, but hopped well too, not over-hopped, just right. Very drinkable and enjoyable brew! Nice flavor, some breadiness as well. Huge thanks to Duane for this brew! demitriustown (694), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2007 22 oz bomber via trade with Pantanap (Thanks!). Great hop overtones in the aroma, fruity, and the malts slightly more subdued, Grapefruit, and pine needles. Appearance is a murky reddish/ brown with a medium sized tan head that lingers around for a while. Taste is definately hopped out, nice bitterness, grapefruit, a light caramlized malt note, and a nicely spiced brew. Palate is actually kind of sweet, short, and medium bodied. Overall, this is a great Irish Ale. I keep getting inpressed with FFF. THey might be my second favorite brewery. The first is Bell’s. Cheers! LooseCannon (928), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

An excellent beer...and I was pleasently surprised with it! Very nice copper colored medium-sized head. Surprisingly different citrus and pine aroma that I thought was great! Astounding ruby red color that I found myself admiring by holding it in front of a light between sips! Medium carbonation with an intense forward hoppyness and citrus and toffee undertones. I tend not to enjoy after-bitterness and this beer had almost none...so I thought the finish was superb! You can’t beat it at $5.99 for a bomber! The only reason I didn’t give it a higher overall rating was that I tend to like beers with a higher alcohol content... CigarsLoveBeer (153), Illinois, USA

Aroma features lots of pine and citrus hops with sugar cane and melon undertones. In the mouth, this beer opens with a sweet bready flavor with wintergreen undertones. Stays sweet til the swallow, with biscuty and sweet-rye notes, then the strong pine flavors hit. A final lingering bready quality that last for a long time finishes this fine beer. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Feb 21, 2007 Bomber courtesy of ummm I forgot, but the person is the bestest! The aroma is a massive toffee, caramel malt affair with a strong back up performance by loads of citrus accented hops. The body is a murky red/brown/orange smear that holds a quickly fading tan head. Huge malt fore is almost chewy. Loads of caramel and citrusy hops. Pretty narrow flavor wise....lingers into an almost cocoa like flavor, but this is just a massive malt bomb with a solid back up of hop artillery. Enjoyable enough though. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Thanks to black95tt for this beer. Poured a clear mahogany with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of citrusy orange hops, wheat bread, and powdered iced tea. Flavor is hoppy and toasty with notes of caramel and some honey and some breadiness, with a bit of iced tea character and a light citrus hoppiness. Very easy-drinking, leading to a pleasantly clean finish with just a bit of toasty toffee. Drinkable and refreshing, but clearly unlike any other Irish Ale I’ve had. But it’s FFF, so I didn’t expect something typical.
