Commercial Description:
Ireland's first and last Ard Ri (high king) of the whole Gaelic race, Brian Boru was born in Munster Ireland around 940. His mother was killed by Vikings when he was a child. He spent his life uniting the Irish tribes to become the first king of Ireland, only to be killed at Clontarf on Good Friday, 1014 putting down a rebellion by the King of the province of Leinster. Brian Boru Irish Brand Red Ale is a very rich caramelly ale with toffee, citrus, and pineapple aroma. Brian Boru is brewed with several malts and Amarillo hops. Slainte!

Thanks to black95tt for this beer. Poured a clear mahogany with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of citrusy orange hops, wheat bread, and powdered iced tea. Flavor is hoppy and toasty with notes of caramel and some honey and some breadiness, with a bit of iced tea character and a light citrus hoppiness. Very easy-drinking, leading to a pleasantly clean finish with just a bit of toasty toffee. Drinkable and refreshing, but clearly unlike any other Irish Ale I’ve had. But it’s FFF, so I didn’t expect something typical.

Another great FFF product. This beer hits you with that signature FFF taste but the taste doesn’t lingure as long as some of their more hoppy beers. The aroma is perhaps the best part. It tastes like a piney/citrusy hopped amber ale.

This basically tastes like somone mixed a Killian’s with a mega-hoppy IPA. Its a wierd combo, but after I got passed the shock it grew on me...it’s pretty darn good!

Funky, sour apple and pineapple aroma with some cherries. Brilliant red in color with a thick, white head that disappears. Lots of cherries and caramel malts in the flavorleads to a cloyngly sweet trip. The amarillos are just not enough - too much clementine, to balance this out. Sorry.

22oz, pours reddish brown with a perfect creamy head. Detected some hops, citrus, but this is more malty than anything... a bit of toffee, some vanilla. Overall, this is an awesome beer.

Beautiful ruby red in color with large creamy head and nice lacing. Strong fruit filled aroma and flavor. Malty and very smooth. Excellent

From the bottle, and many thanks to MrBendo, pours a hazy muddy red with a thick but disipating off-white head and some nice lacing. Aroma is immediately malty, with some cherry, some toffee, and just a faint hint of hops. Tastes thickly malty, with some sweet caramel notes balanced quickly by some bitter coffee flavors, as well as that earthy undertone that reds seem to share. As it warms, a smoothness develops and there is just a hint of alcohol in the aftertaste with some mild hoppiness. This is pretty damn good beer.

A christmas gift from Ebbies7, shared with the guy below me.. Pretty much exactly the same sentiments. Very enjoyable of course.. as a huge fan of FFF, this is an exceptional beer.
