Commercial Description:
Ireland's first and last Ard Ri (high king) of the whole Gaelic race, Brian Boru was born in Munster Ireland around 940. His mother was killed by Vikings when he was a child. He spent his life uniting the Irish tribes to become the first king of Ireland, only to be killed at Clontarf on Good Friday, 1014 putting down a rebellion by the King of the province of Leinster. Brian Boru Irish Brand Red Ale is a very rich caramelly ale with toffee, citrus, and pineapple aroma. Brian Boru is brewed with several malts and Amarillo hops. Slainte!

My favorite red ale/irish ale. The aroma is huge with hops, toffee, and carmel, while the appearence is a nice bright red hue with a burnt toffee creamy head that lasted quite a while. Thhe taste had all sorts of good carmel flavors that were backed by a lot of toffee sweetness. There was also more then enough citrus and fruity hops to complement the alt sweetness. another good brew by 3F’s. Good job Nick!

Pours a slightly hazed red with a small head. The aroma is full of caramel and toffee malts along with a bit of fruity hops. The flavor is lighter than expected, but still satisfyingly malty.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear reddish copper body under a very fizzy beige head that faded fairly quickly to a sickly looking sparce film. Aroma is a mix of caramel malt and piney hops. The malt is rather soft and sweet and outshines the moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Texture is fairly watery up front but becomes slightly syrupy on the finish. Overall, this was maybe slightly above average for an Irish Red. Mostly just because they threw in a boatload of extra hops compare to most others.

(Bottle 65 cl) Pours a clear, dark amber with an off-white head. Lovely soft aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Medium body with sweetish caramel notes and lovely aroma hops. Very harmonious and smooth. A nice Secret Santa gift from Immy. 290806

Bottle. Pours a nice reddish amber color and a fair amount of head. Good bit of citrus, pinapple and malty carmel in the aroma. Good amount of hops in the flavor, striking a tasty balance with the malty goodness. A little sweet on the tongue, but balanced out in the end. Nice mouthfeel. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Pineapple and orange hops aroma. Cloudy red amber color with small head. A very upfront pineapple/orange hops and light toffee flavor with mild buttery finish. Well balanced. Hops choice unusual for the style but a great beer.

Bottled. Burgundy coloured. Quite clear. Light brown dense head. Flowery and herbal aroma. Notes of fruits and light spieces. Hoppy herbal flavour. Fruits and sweet to counter. Quite balanced and easy to drink. Medium to full bodied. Sweetish bitter end. Very drinkable.
