Floral hop aroma with a bit of caramel malt, sugar, and a little fruit. Initial flavor of hops, faint taste of tea and faint maltiness; fades to a dry roasted malt. Aftertaste is nice blend of dry roasted malt and floral hops Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2006 Great redish-brown body with a minimal head. Nice hoppy, fruitish aroma, some very minimal malts. A somewhat tea like taste, in fact... very tea like. Some light fruits in the taste as well. Nice clean ending. A very enjoyable Irish Ale. Strong malty aroma with lots of floral hops. Sweet bitter taste - initially malty with a good hoppy bite. Medium thick body. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Bomber. Reddish amber pour, big beige head. Typical floral hopped up 3F nose, some malty brown sugar notes. Malty backbone, some sweet fruity notes, a slight whiskylike tinge, and again, the 3F bitter hoppy finish. Good, but not overly exciting. murrayswine (101), Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 27, 2006 Just got this beer in today. This thing is like every other 3F beer---One Hoppy SOB! The nose is so hoppy it’s insane. the ruby red beer gives way to a snow white head.
The first taste is very clean, sturdy, strong hops, with a good malt back. Not at all metallic like other Red’s I’ve had, this one has a rye taste to it almost. The mouthfeel is a bit bitey in the beginning, but it finishes smoother. Of course, after that whole bomber, everything goes smooth.

Nose is of a hearty, sweet malt with signature 3F floral hop nose. Flavor follows nose. I liken this to a malty Alpha King. bu11zeye (5468), Frisco, Texas, USA

Aroma of grapefruit, spruce, breadiness, and toffee. Flavor of hops, caramel, malt, and a touch of cocoa. A bit of chaulkiness in the finish. a10555 (125), West Chester, Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 25, 2006 Start with a great lable, and when you open it and pour it doesn’t disappoint. It’s a great looking amber and it has a sweet smell. It pours with a nice blonde head, which is kind of ironic for a red. The taste starts sweet with a faint hint of hops and finishes smooth. Another great beer from 3 floyds
