Deep reddish brown color. Very nice, very drinkable beer. Best Irish red I’ve had. Very flavorful, with a hint of sweetness, but not enough to be off-putting. sebletitje (1924), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 22, 2008 A: Pours a hazy orangish brown with a dense cream-colored head that lingers for a while and leaves decent lacing. The aroma has a big bready malt sweetness with a hint of pine hops in the background. The taste is a bigger version of the aroma with the sweet caramel malts dominating throughout. The pine hops kick a little up front and come back to leave the slightest bitterness in the finish. The spices and a little orange come across as well leaving a bit of a tea taste on the palate. The mouthfeel is creamy but with strong carbonation that leaves the tongue tingling through the finish. This is a very, very good Irish red, possibly the best I’ve had. Highly recommended. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Poured a nice clear red color with an off white head. Aroma was very malty, but with that 3F hop aroma hidden in there. Flavor was nice smooth malts, not metallic or too sweet, with a nice bitter hoppy finish that most reds dont have. Good beer all around, the best for its style. beerbill (1953), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2008 22 oz. bottle courtesy of Summer Secret Santa. Pours a cloudy reddish brown, more brown than red. Moderate off-white head that lasted through the first two sips and left scant lace. Very pleasant aroma of malt, pineapple, lemon, and orange-pekoe tea. The flavor is sweet, but not overdone with caramel malt, brown sugar, with a bit of orange and lemon at the finish along with some tea. Very quaffable; 22 oz. bottle was too easy going down! doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA

Smells malty, red fruit, sweet with a hint of iced tea hops. Tastes sweet and slight red fruity, a good dose of hops toward the finish. Pretty tasty malt-wise. Medium body, ok carbonation.
