Aroma is bursting with juicy, spicy, resinous hops along with a honey-like sweetness. Pine resin hits the palate first, followed by bright, juicy burst of fresh hops, notes of peach and caramel, with a peppery, almost rye-like spiciness in the finish. Hops forward, yet very well balanced. Full, sticky body. A damn fine sessionable brew. monkeychugg55 (227), Joliet, Illinois, USA

Huge hop aroma...pine needles, grapefruit, orange, lemon zest, and a tiny hint of malt. The flavor is sweet at first, but quickly turns bitter and hoppy, with a robust earthyness. There is a lot of pine and fruit in the flavor as well. Although this seems to be balanced fairly well, the taste of the malt is well hidden. Nice finish with just the right amount of I.B.U.s. This is all about the hops. Medium bodied with light but sharp carbonation. Wish this stayed this fresh all year. Meatmallet (120), Salem, Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Solid amber color with decent carbonation. Nice fresh hop and malt miix right up front. Sweet. Bubblegum. The flavor similarly bespeaks hop and malt sweetness with candi sugar prominence and some bubblegum as well. Perhaps the New Zealand hops give it that twang. Tasty stuff.
