| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Bottle… GSRARO Throwdown… Hazy amber ale with golden highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Permanent retention. The nose is actually very hard to nail down. I’m pulling toffee and lots of hops out of the glass, but I can’t really say what types of hops are in here… an odd marriage… is that cat pee? Maybe some Simcoe? Nice, though. Full-bodied with lively carbonation. Surprisingly well-balanced for a Three Floyds IPA. Leans only a touch on the bitter side of balance. Crisp, lightly bitter finish. Thanks to headbanger shipping this beer my way! Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2009 Bottle. Body-reddish brown with a razor thin ring of bubbles. Nose-grapefruit, soap, IPA, very nice nose. Taste-medium dry, light grapefruit, high CO2, very nice, not too sweet, great use of hops. A well done simple IPA. Sweet and hoppy with a nice bready malt. Aggressively hopped and a great balanced finish. It was delicious. TChrome (1302), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Really nice looking beer, pouring amber with a nice, oww white, totally retained head, and excellent lacing. Aroma is nicely, hugely hoppy with lots of pine and grapefruit. Flavor is likewise with hops, hops, and more hops. OK by me since I am a hop head. Really a massively aromatic and flavorful beer for 5.5%. Delicous stuff! jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Amber in color with a medium sized off-whit head. Aroma is of hops, pine, and grapefruit with some spicy notes. Flavor is of caramel, grapefruit, and pine. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours copper with gold edges and very thin white head. The aroma is full with citrus goodness, sweet malts and black tea, yum. The taste has an initial bite of citrus orange peel to grapefruit bitterness that is being kept in check by sweet malts, mild roasted malts and some black tea leaves. Very nice stuff. All notes come together in harmony. 502Flavors (629), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Right off the bat, FFF comes through with another design win -- another awesome label. Great copper body with some fine rising carbonation. Nice big off-white slightly rocky head -- huge and lasting. Aroma is great with a good balance between a cereal/biscuity/caramel malt and piney and citrus hops. The flavor is pretty much the exact same except, while the malt holds more power in the aroma, the hops hold more power in the flavor. Bitting bitterness, but not at all overly biting. The flavor really starts to develop as it lingers - the hop bitterness gives way to the citrus and resinous hop flavors. Medium body with medium carbonation and smooth mouthfeel - almost like a sappy stickynoess with the combination of the sweet malt and the resinous piney hops. So balanced, so drinkable, No trace of alcohol. Overall: as far as I have experienced so far, FFF is incapable of making a less than superior beer. rudolf (1783), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Bottle from Sam’s. RIch gold, nice craggy white head w. good lacing. Nose is piney awesome, some tea, lots of mango/other fruitiness - like a fruity ST IPA. Flavor is nice malt, really hoppy - pine, floral, tea. A bunch of bitterness but well balanced by the malt. slightly grassy finish. Solid.
