| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Thanks JCB for sharing. Pours a hazy soft gold with a 1-2 finger frothy offwhite head. The nose is very hoppy, fresh and citrusy, grapefruit rind, mango, apricot, very pungent. The flavor is upfront and hoppy, citrusy, mild bitterness coupled with full flavor, citrus rind, lemonzest, develops an earthy maltiness with some warmth. Nice mouthfeel and soft bitterness. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA

Pours hazy amber with a moderate sized white head that leaves good lace. Smells astringent and citrusy hoppy. Complex yet potent. Tastes sweet malty and big citrusy hoppy, nice balance, very tasty. One of the better wet hop beers that I have had. Medium body, good carbonation. GMCC2181 (883), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Bottle from stfun. Thanks josh. Dark orange in color, small head nothing impressive. Nice aroma of fresh simcoe hops. Taste is close to the nose, fresh hop taste. Not super bitter though. Taste like the warrior ipa. There is a little fruityness in there, maybe from the gem hops. Average texture and carbonation level. Good beer, thanks josh. JaBier (1264), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a 1 inch off-white head. Citrusy grapefruit aroma loaded with hop. Lots of citrusy hop, but a nice malt balance. Medium finish. Great stuff. damienv10 (108), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2008 Orange amber, off-white head. It smells like a dank funky fruit and hop filled cellar, the kind you want to swim in. Full and round on the palate but has a light airy feel at the same time. This beer is weird, crazy good weird. Wet stick hops are prominent throughout, they smell and taste like they could be smoked. Did I mention this beer is dank? Not a whole lot of fruit on the palate, very easy to drink. Cannabis lovers would freak out over this beer, too bad I quit. kseecs16 (914), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Bottle, pours orange-amber with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma is a rich orange citrus, very fresh, vibrant and sugary. Potent signature Three Floyds sweet citrus hops. Very potent and quite bitter with a fresh resinous character. Strong lingering bitterness with a creamy mouthfeel. Moderate carb bite. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Bottle from City Wide, Mishawaka, IN. Fresh, inviting aroma, grapefruity but also tropical. Lovely color. Subdued bready malt profile, huge on the hops. Hop flavors are intensely fruity, with definite metallic tones. Hop flavors of mango and other tropicalities. Good for a change of pace - albeit too sweet in the long run, and I’m not the biggest Simcoe fan in the world (the hop has a strange artificiality for me). Pawola22 (783), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2008 22 oz bottle from Binny’s in Plainfield. Pours a hazy, burnt orange body, with a finger width off-white head that dissipates slowly and remains very lacy on the glass as well as the surface. Aroma is loaded with fresh, citrus hops and a distinct "wet" hop smell. Very fruity and fragrant. Its clearly that familiar FFF smell, although not as overpowering as a lot of their brews. Some notes of pine and sweet maltiness giving it a real harvesty smell. Pretty medium to full bodied beer with a very dry finish. Taste is very piney/earthy and loaded with fresh, bitter hops. Big spicy grapefruit taste. Most of the bitterness comes at the end, following an initial sweet and spicy citrus flavor. The lingering bitterness really is like a bomb of hops. It stays sticky and present for quite awhile. Overall, the taste isn’t as nice as the aroma, but its still good, just a tad off. Its kind of like sucking on a hop, actually. For a harvest ale, this is clearly one of the best out there. FFF seems to never let me down.
