| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Pours a nice translucent copper into the glass, with generous soapy lacing. The floral nose has hints of citrus and malt. Nice sweet malt, grapefruit, some peel and zest notes, and a nice, nice bitter back to finish the pull. The mouthfeel is smooth and easy, providing a nice quaff to the complexities at work. Superb IPA! kramer (2495), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Tap @ FFF. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a nice tight bubbled off-white head. Lots of delicate lacing. Great fresh super-citrusy hop nose with a little bit of malt below. The flavor is super fresh as well, very bright and bursting with grapefruity goodness. Minimal malt thankfully, keeping the hops front and center and the alcohol within normal IPA range. Mouthfeel is medium bodied without being heavy or sticky. Lingering citrusy finish. A very nice beer to have straight from the source. mcbackus (753), Merritt Island, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Bottle: pours a nice gold colir large white head with a little lacing. The aroma is awesome full of a fresh sweet pine aroma with a nice malt behind. Flavor is great too, plenty of fresh hops that have a good sweet pinyness and a hint of citrus plenty of malt to hold this together. hamrech (34), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2009 I thought I’d never find the FFF connect down here but I finally hit the cache tonite. I have very limited experience with FFF but this is a buck wild brew for sure. Nose is crazy fruits, although strangely it is very subdued--it’s very nice, but I wish it were stronger. Appearance is solid gold, good looking and seemingly quite a bit darker at the top of the glass than at the bottom. Mouth is unspectacular. If this review seems a bit too critical it’s because the last beer I had was the essentially perfect Alesmith IPA; and at any rate the flavor of this brew supercedes any and all of the intangibles. It is fucking delicious and so wild that I can’t even decide if it’s complicated or very basic. It’s maybe a bit more hoppy than necessary for a 5.5% brew, but it creates this bitter lemon-hop LONG aftertaste that is out of control. To say this brew is flawed is completely missing the point. Madness is what it is. joeneugs (346), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Pours orange/gold with a pillowy orange cream head. The aroma is lovely and balanced with caramel, lemon, orange, grapefruit and a hint of earthy pine. The flavor is not so balanced. Sweaty up front with sweeter tropical fruit giving way to citrus and caramel, then ending extremely bitter. Huge pine and almost inky in the aftertaste. This is close to hop juice. Its a monstrous IPA and I like it, but the lack of balance keeps it a step away from greatness IMO. garmonbozia (231), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Thanks again to Mike Sprinkle for this great beer. Murky orange color with a desent tan head. Orange and grapefruit bitterness with nice grassy hops. Aftertaste was noticble, but who cares

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Dark golden pour with nice white head. Aroma is sweetish, fruity(pineapple). Hop flavor hits you when you take the first sip. It balances well with the malt. The hops leqave a nice aftertaste that is a little spicy and earthy. The lacing covers the whole glass. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Bottle: Poured a dirty amber color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and very good lacing. Aroma of earthy hops and dry caramel malt with nice overtones of floral hops. Taste is also dominated by earthy hops with floral undertones and some dry caramel malt backbone which is well balanced in support of all the hops. Body is quite full with great carbonation. Very well done and not a full hops assault as this brewery seems to do very well but a more balanced approach which is very efficient.
